Kia ora! I'm Caleb, a passionate director and cinematographer from New Zealand / Aotearoa, dedicated to bringing stories to life through the compelling lens of film. With a rich background spanning nine years, I've crafted a diverse portfolio, ranging from commercials and promotional videos to short films and mini-documentaries.
My previous role at Lamp Studios equipped me with valuable experience in cinematography and editing, contributing to projects like TVCs (TV Commercials), mini docu-series, and more. Now, as an independent filmmaker, I'm working on short films and story driven commercials.
Film, for me, is a dynamic tool for capturing the essence of life, stirring emotions, and sparking imagination. I believe that through powerful writing and cinematographer, we can create an experience out of this world and offer fresh perspectives, essential elements for crafting impactful stories.
In addition to my work as a director and cinematographer, I co-founded the School of Film, teaching filmmaking techniques to 10-18 year old’s. I also co-host a podcast where we explore the intersection of art, life, and everything in between with inspiring figures in the film industry.
